A band called Merry Hell performing in a place of Christian worship is bound to be a highlight of Festival of the Artisan.
Founded in their native North-West of England, Merry Hell is an eight-piece folk-rock band with a history, a pedigree and a bright future. Since they formed in 2010 they have produced four albums and risen to become festival favourites.
The band is rooted in the ever-evolving folk tradition – music made by the people and shared by the people. They will be a perfect fit for Festival of the Artisan: with their hearts and souls tuned to the songs which came before them, Merry Hell will bring new words and music forged from their own experiences, from the lows and the loves of life. An energy-packed and exuberant performance from the Thursday night headliners is guaranteed.
